Tommie Lee Sanford was born on July 24, 1950 to the late Tommie Lee Sanford and Corine Daniel Sanford in Tuskegee, Alabama. Tommie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member at Springhill Baptist Church in Kent, Alabama. He was a quiet man with a soft-spoken voice and very few words. Tommie worked as a barber part-time and retired at Mt. Vernon Mills as a janitor. He attended R.R. Moton Hill School. Tommie departed from us peacefully and entered eternal rest on January 3, 2024. He is preceded in death by one sister, Ida Sanford and two brothers: Louise Daniel and James Sanford, two nieces Zondra Daniel and Vicky Buckhannon, and one nephew Brice Daniel. Tommie leaves to cherish his memories a devoted sister-in-law, Betty Sanford of Tallassee, Alabama; three brothers: Gerald (Sarah) Sanford of Montgomery, Alabama, Willie Sanford of Montgomery, Alabama and Jimmy (Johnnie) Sanford of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved him dearly.
