Roscoe (Jam, Score) George, Jr. was born June 4, 1943 to the late Roscoe George, Sr. and the late Jettie Pearl Shuford George in Wetumpka, Alabama. He attended Elmore County Training School and joined the Marines Corp in 1968. He confessed Christ and joined the Liberty Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Sam Johnson.
Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Jettie George, Sr., and other family members: Esther Faye George, Rosie Mae McGhee, Linda Lovelle Lucas and William Alfonza George, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Maria George, two daughters: Wernette Bozeman of Wetumpka, Alabama and Leah Alexander of Lansing, Michigan, four sons: Stevie Smoke (Nanyail) of Phoenix City, Roscoe George III of Lansing, Michigan, Thomas Alexander of California and Aaron Alexander of Lansing, Michigan; five grandchildren: Shequlia Powell of Hintsville, Georgia, Malik Smoke of Florida, Bryce Smoke of Phoenix City, Alyssa (Manuel) Curtis of Phoenix City and Prince Martin of Lansing, Michigan; four great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Tye, Jeremia and Jovoni; one aunt Romese Shuford of Cincinnati, Ohio, four brothers: Houston (Arizona) George of Georgia, Robert George, Sr., of Wetumpka, Alabama, Douglas George, Sr., of Lansing, Michigan and John Billy George of Maysville, Kentucky; four sisters: Apostle Annette Hughley of Birmingham, Alabama, Nellie (George) Hood, Pastor Juanita (Morris) Jackson and Pastor Annie (Gregory) Williams all of Wetumpka, Alabama; seven sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
