Roy Donnell Anthony was born August 5, 1959 to the late Mildred Cain and Evander Anthony. He attended local schools and graduated from Wetumpka High School Class of 1977. He worked at Collier Ford for nearly 40 years until his health failed. He was a kind-hearted, humble man with an infectious smile. Roy enjoyed being in the great outdoors, spending time with family and friends, working on his classic Ford trucks and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He departed from us peacefully and entered eternal rest on September 11, 2022.
Roy leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 28 years, Joyce Anthony, two daughters: Rotashia Floyd Anthony of Cocoa, Florida, Melinda (Greg) Ross of Wetumpka, Alabama; two sons: Travis Ross and Patrick (Trina) Ross of Wetumpka, Alabama; one stepdaughter, Pamela (Stafford) Williams of Wetumpka, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren: De’aysia Williams, James Floyd, Dadrian Floyd, Jasmine Dillon, Demetric Dillon, Marcus Sessions, Marterious Sessions, Marlaysia Sessions, Kwamtavious Swindle, Deja Ross, Kaitlyn Mergil, Dominique Palmore, Ariel Palmore, Kendall Williams and Kalin Williams; six great grandchildren, two brothers: Cleve (Eva) Anthony and Gary Anthony of Wetumpka, Alabama, one aunt Laura Cain of Wetumpka, Alabama, Mother-in-law Dorothy Ross; fourteen sisters in law, seven brothers in law, special friends; Patrick Wright, Shon Anthony, James Anthony, Marcy Anthony, Mike Taylor, Malcolm Neeley and Mary Jane Taylor; four very special cousins: Edgardine Bates, Gloria Howard, Pat Means and Sherry Lynn Williams of Wetumpka, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
